In 2024, the global smartphone market will
grow by 7% to reach 1.22 billion units, achieving a rebound after two
consecutive years of decline. With the growth of emerging markets and the
stable performance of North America and Europe, Apple successfully offset its
challenges in the Chinese Mainland market, and held the top position in the
market for the second consecutive year. In 2024, iPhone shipments decreased by
1% to 225.9 million units. Samsung followed closely and continued to focus on
profitability, with its shipment volume also decreasing by 1% to 222.9 million
units. Xiaomi remains in third place and has become the largest contributor to
industry shipment growth in 2024. Driven by the strong momentum of the Chinese
Mainland market and the continuous strategic expansion in emerging markets, the
shipment of millet increased by 15% to 168.6 million units. Transsion entered
fourth place for the first time, while OPPO (including OnePlus) ranked fifth,
growing by 15% and 3% respectively to 106.7 million and 103.6 million units.
